I offer a bespoke hand-embroidery service and would be happy to discuss your requirements.
Most business logos translate well into textile art. I can design either an embroidered logo from scratch or work with your existing logo. Olivia at The Little French House was quite taken with the logo for The Little Green Door and fancied something similar for herself to incorporate an applique of her French residence. I chatted with Olivia about her likes and dislikes in terms of colours and fabric textures then put together a little mood board for her to approve before starting the stitchery. The mood board detailed the fabrics I'd chosen, the colours of the embroidery and my sketch of the house. The final piece of embroidery was strengthened with card and additional fabric and despatched to Olivia who chose her own frame.
Heirloom Cushions and Lavender Sachets
Hand-embroidered cushions make a beautiful keepsake for a special occasion. Lavender sachets are also a thoughtful and attractive gift. My embroidery designs are all my own and I create the image as I work; I do not use patterns and so each piece is unique. Before starting an embroidery I sketch out an idea, sometimes adding a bit of colour here and there, to help focus my choices, and then I pull the threads from my stash. I only use good quality, colour-fast threads (although I do not recommend washing my embroidery) including DMC, Anchor, Weeks Dye Works and Valdani. I am inspired by nature; particularly flowers, old walls and overgrown paths.
Cushions and lavender sachets can include personalisation if required; perhaps an important date or place?
