Beautiful Solitude was the April Haven kit for the 2020 Stitchery Journal Subscription project.

Haven is a series of embroidery designs with a focus on home and the places we go to feel safe, cosy and happy.

Fat roses made of bullion knots and bright hollyhocks by a table and chair set for one.

The pattern is hand printed onto a 10” square of linen and the kit includes full instructions and all the threads needed to complete the project.

The design is approx 14cm by 9cm.

You will need to have a simple sewing kit to include small, sharp, embroidery scissors, an assorted packet of embroidery/crewel needles and an embroidery hoop.

Note; because we antique linen then there will be variation in the colour, texture and weight from piece to piece.

All of our kits have been completed by complete beginners but we do rate our kits on a scale of 1-3 to help you

3) Accomplished beginner
