A celebratory kit especially designed for Gloria McKinnon and her Anne’s Glory box; Nicki has released this to coincide with Gloria’s 2026 retreat where Nicki is one of the tutors.

“..Gloria has been embroidering since the age of 8. As children, she, her brothers and sister were not allowed to say that they were bored as long as there was gardening to be done. To avoid gardening, Gloria asked her mother and aunt to teach her to embroider flowers--an instant garden that grew in her own hands. And so began a long love affair with needle and thread, ribbons and braids, and things of delicate beauty. In 1976, Gloria opened the now internationally famous Anne’s Glory Box in Newcastle, Australia..”

The kit includes antique hand-printed linen, instructions and all threads required to complete the embroidery.

The kit is printed on a 10” square piece of linen.

The design is approx 10cm by 10cm

Note; because we antique linen then there will be variation in the colour, texture and weight from piece to piece.

You will need to have a simple sewing kit to include small, sharp, embroidery scissors, an assorted packet of embroidery/crewel needles and an embroidery hoop. 

 All of our kits have been completed by complete beginners but we do rate our kits on a scale of 1-3 to help you
