Christmas in July Retreat 2026
Christmas in July Retreat 2026
Following the success of our Christmas in July event at the Stitchery studio this year, we are running it again for 2026.
This year we are only offering full week tickets for this non-residential retreat and numbers will be kept to a maximum of 20 to ensure the best experience for everyone attending. There are planned additions and enhancements with learnings from our first event so that you go home having been spoilt, entertained and inspired!
Sue Phillips from Homespun with Love will be joining us to teach two different Christmas stitching projects. Sarah of The Stitchery Sisters will create a new Christmas cross stitch design for us, using her usual quality threads and linens. Nicki will have editions 4 and 5 of her ‘Busy Elves’ embroidery set (following the launch of edition 3 in the 2025 Christmas Eve box). A special slow stitch project with antique fabrics will be provided as a ‘palate cleanser’ kit for guests to work on in between workshops if they like!
The week will start with welcome drinks and nibbles on the evening of Friday 24th July with the final class and goodbyes on Friday 31st July.
Downtime at the studio is included in the week’s itinerary together with a casual ‘Christmas Party’ at the studio on the Saturday evening to include an evening meal. There will also be exclusive shopping and little surprises throughout the week.
World Embroidery Day is 30th July and we will be celebrating together.
This is a non-residential retreat so you will need to pay for your own accommodation for the week and any travel, together with breakfast and evening meals. We keep an up-to-date record of places to stay that our customers have given feedback on - please contact caroline@nickifranklin.com for further information.
Included in the week’s registration fee is five days of formal tuition (with full kits provided) and two informal studio days with lunch and refreshments provided on all seven days.
It is a relaxed and informal week of workshops with plenty of opportunity for you to visit local shops and attractions if you fancy it. There is lots to do for partners visiting the area and plenty of spare folk around here who might like a game of golf or such if partners would like to be connected to arrange something.
Similarly, if you are planning to attend alone, please be reassured that the magic of the Stitchery studio is that everyone who attends is thoroughly lovely and you will find yourself going home with a few new friends and contacts - guaranteed!
