Embroidery for Beginners - Watering Can Embroidery - Thursday 14th March 2019

75.00

My little watering can design is the first in my garden series, inspired by my trip to Beatrix Potter’s house last year.

The watering can will be available as a kit to purchase this year and is a great beginner piece to learn a few basic stitches that I use most of all including French knots, lazy daisy and stem stitch. At the workshop I will show you how to paint the linen and teach you the stitches required to complete the project. It is a small and dainty little image and you can expect to finish your piece within the day. You will be provided with the full kit together with backing linen so that you can make the embroidery into a framed photograph or lavender cushion.

The cost of the workshop includes plenty of one-to-one tuition throughout the day, the full kit and a two-course lunch. There will also be plenty of tea, coffee and cake! The studio shop will fully stocked for you to buy haberdashery, kits, scented candles and a few brocante pieces, promising to be a very lovely day.
