Paper Mache Boats - Sunday 10th August 10am - 4pm
Paper Mache Boats - Sunday 10th August 10am - 4pm
Join us for the first Stitchery Sunday Craft Club to make paper mache boats with our guest tutor, Emma Gaskell.
It will be a nice relaxing day in friendly company making sweet little boats to decorate with old papers and fabric. You are sure to want to make a whole fleet when you get home!
There will be no lunch provided so please bring your own, but there will be plenty of cake, tea and coffee to keep us going all day.
Emma says:
Nicki has generously offered to host this workshop in the inspiring and tranquil surroundings of her beautiful studio. We'll spend the day crafting a cute little boat from paper mache, using lovely old sheet music and vintage book pages, beautiful fabrics and dinky buttons.
No previous experience is necessary and all equipment and materials will be provided in the kit. The only things you might want to bring along are an apron (if I can manage not to cover myself in glue then anyone can, but just in case you'd like to protect your clothes), any vintage fabric of your own that you'd especially like to use and a pair of fabric/embroidery scissors, which will be useful when cutting the fabric pieces.
Hope to see you at The Stitchery for some boat making paper mache fun!
